We present our predictions for meson form factors for the SU(3) octet and
investigate their impact on the pion electroproduction cross sections. The
electric and magnetic polarizabilities of the SU(3) octet of mesons and baryons
are analyzed in detail. These extensive calculations are made possible by the
recent implementation of semi-automatized calculations in fully-relativistic
chiral perturbation theory, which allows evaluation of polarizabilities from
Compton scattering up to next-to-the-leading order.Comment: 9 pages, proceedings for Hadron Structure 1
We perform updated and detailed calculations of the complete next-to-leading order set of electroweak radiative corrections to parity-violating e À e À ! e À e À ðÞ scattering asymmetries at energies relevant for the ultraprecise Møller experiment to be performed at JLab. Our numerical results are presented for a range of experimental cuts and the relative importance of various contributions is analyzed. We also provide very compact expressions analytically free from nonphysical parameters and show them to be valid for fast, yet accurate estimations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
