Novel SingleStep Preparation of 2-and 2,3-Substituted 1,3-Dienes.-Treatment of various ketones with dimethyloxosulfonium methylide (II), prepared in situ from trimethyloxosulfonium iodide (I) and sodium hydride, produces substituted 1,3-dienes.
