Conditions for fabricating (Ba 0.5 Sr 0.5 )Nb 2 O 6 ceramics are optimized. It is shown that materials synthesized at T = 1250°C and sintered at T = 1375-1400°C exhibit the best ceramic characteristics. The (Ba 0.5 Sr 0.5 )Nb 2 O 6 solid solution is found to be a ferroelectric with a diffuse phase transition. The possibility of fabricating Ba 0.5 Sr 0.5 Nb 2 O 6 thin films from ceramic targets prepared in the resulting optimum regimes is shown.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
