Insulation materials play an important role in district heating pipeline networks. Thermal losses in pipe insulation systems depend on the thermal conductivity of insulation materials. The thermal conductivity of the insulation materials is influenced by the temperature and moisture content. In this paper the effect of moisture content on the thermal conductivity of rock wool produced by different manufacturers was considered. Experimental studies were performed using the standard guarded hot plate (GHP) method. Higher thermal conductivity is always associated with higher moisture content for all investigated samples.
This paper presents the results of a sanitary-hygienic examination of the conditions of teaching, education and health of the children of the experimental classes in Zelenodolsk. In 1982, teaching bases were identified: two preparatory classes of a general education school and one preparatory group of a pre-school institution. The Department of Hygiene of Children and Adolescents at the Zelenodolsk Sanitary and Epidemiological Station systematically monitored the organization of the daily routine, catering, the teaching process, the sanitary condition of the allocated facilities and the medical care of the children of these establishments.
The revealed peculiarities of heavy metals distribution in biosphere components of the East Kama region define its background concentrations. Soil-geochemical division of the territory into districts is the basis for environmental monitoring taking into account the speciality of population health breaches.
The study of mass diseases from geochemical positions in recent years has led to the emergence of a new direction in biology and medicine - the geochemical ecology of endemic diseases, the essence of which is a comprehensive assessment of the organism as a single component of the biosphere. Due to its exceptional value, national economic importance and perspective development this direction requires further accumulation of facts and theoretical justification.
We conducted a continuous survey of 1134 schoolchildren in five villages of the Tatar ASSR. The following deviations in the state of their health were found: dental caries in 83.8 per 100 examinees; endemic enlargement of the thyroid gland in 54.0; endemic goiter in 2.9; posture disorders in 30.2; scoliosis in 12.1; residual effects of rickets in 11.5; somatic pathology in 25.9.
