The work investigated the effect of crushed fibers of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) before and after plasma treatment in air and argon with their content up to 1.0% of the mass. on the complex of physicochemical properties of polymeric composite materials (PCM) based on polyurethane. UHMWPE fibers were treated with a high-frequency capacitive discharge of lowtemperature plasma in order to increase the adhesive polymer-filler interaction. The effect of filling with plasma-treated UHMWPE on the main set of PCM strength indicators is estimated. It was Fundamental and applied problems of materials creation and phases of technologies for textile industry 142 revealed that the modification of the filler leads to a significant increase in the physical and mechanical parameters of PCM with its use.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
