RESUMO -A pitiríase rubra pilar (PRP) é uma doença crônica, papuloescamosa, de etiologia desconhecida. Embora existam casos familiares, a maioria é adquirida. Afeta homens e mulheres na mesma proporção, apresentando incidência bimodal com picos na primeira e quinta décadas de vida. Relatamos um caso clínico de pitiríase rubra pilar na forma clássica do adulto, em um paciente do sexo masculino, 40 anos de idade, que apresentava pápulas eritemato descamativas foliculares crónicas, de quatro anos de evolução, no dorso dos quirodáctilos. Neste estudo aborda-se a evolução clínica da doença, diagnósticos diferenciais, achados histopatológicos e o tratamento com acitretina.
The present work is about to determine the efficacy of different Branded and generic pharmaceuticals (antimicrobials). Branded formulations are at high cost, so that the poor can't afford to buy them. Therefore the generic drugs of various pharmaceutical companies are sold at low cost are checked for their therapeutic efficacy by comparing with that of branded for their efficacy (antimicrobial activity). Different branded and generic formulations of Amoxicillin were selected and their efficacy was tested by using cup plate method and minimum inhibitory concentration of drug that is effective towards microorganism.
