T his pape r desc ribe s an approac h to the implementatio n o f a M IMO fuzzy hierarc hical contro lle r in a real proce ss. Introducing a loop struc ture for the fuzzy controlle r, the approac h is based on a mixed decompo sition method and a hierarc hical struc ture. T he approach allo ws an impo rtant reductio n ina glo bal fuzzy re lation needed to co ntro l the process under conside ratio n-the parallel o peratio n o f uninterruptible po wer supplies. T he proce ss multivariable and no nlinear charac teristics make it an appro priate one to te st the prese nted method. G ene ralized simulation re sults are prese nted based on the pro posed approac h. T he co mparative e xperime ntal results prese nted show the validity o f the method.
