A promising ternary copolymer of styrene, isoprene, and butadiene, synthesized by anionic polymerization in solution, was subjected to chemical postpolymerization modifi cation using the following branching and endcapping agents: tin and silicon tetrachlorides, N-methylpyrrolidone, and Michler's ketone. The combined method of chemical modifi cation of the copolymer performed in the two-stream mode (branching and endcapping), with the subsequent mixing of the streams, is the most effi cient.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
