Ensuring stable access for both the world’s population and various industries with clean energy from renewable sources is one of the most important problems that society will have to solve in the 21st century. The resource base of the energy sector, on which all the economic activities of mankind are based, is exhaustible in the foreseeable future. In this regard, the issues of energy conservation, development and implementation of alternative energy systems from renewable energy sources are becoming one of the most urgent. The article discusses the impact of the food industry on the sustainability of ecological systems, provides a detailed review of methods for calculating the carbon footprint of goods and services, provides data on comparing the accuracy between methods, calculates the carbon footprint of a hybrid solar-wind turbine of a given power.
Currently, there is a need in the industry for design changes to existing installations, such as conveyor lines, various machine tools, 3D printers, and so on. Designing delta robots for 3D printers reveals the advantages of using delta robots as working parts of printers compared to traditional designs. In this article, the direct and inverse problems of the kinematics of the delta robot are solved in a geometric way. Also, dependencies for the search for angular velocities and accelerations of the input links were obtained, which allows in the future to design more accurate working bodies of 3D printers. The research was carried out through mathematical modeling.
Despite the fact that according to the largest international organization “Our World in Data”, air pollution mortality is decreasing - mainly due to improved indoor air - this type of environmental pollution is one of the world’s leading risk factors. In 2017 approximately 5 million people around the world died from diseases caused by air pollution – strokes, lung cancer, etc. The prevailing part (about 40% of the world’s air pollution) occurs when vehicles are used, mainly personal vehicles, which means that it is necessary to develop measures to improve the environmental friendliness of the use of vehicles. Since the exhaust gases of automobile engines contain a large amount of air pollutants, it is possible to limit their emissions by developing and implementing hybrid vehicles with flywheel energy accumulators. The article considers the dimensionless dependence of the current acceleration of the car to its maximum acceleration in the presence and absence of a flywheel in the system, and checks the reliability of the dependence on the stand.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
