We show that the quantized gravitino sector of N = 1, D = 11 supergravity theory leads to new contributions to the four-dimensional cosmological constant in addition to the one coming from the field strength of the three-index totally antisymmetric tensor field. These new contributions arise from the vacuum expectation values of the different auxiliary fields introduced in order to eliminate the quartic gravitino interaction terms.
