The relationship between nutrition and oral health is multifaced. Nutrition has both local and systemic impacts on oral cavity. The oral cavity is often the first sites where nutrient deficiencies can be clinically noted. Any alterations in the structure & function of oral cavity may compromise intake and contribute to the development of a nutrient deficiency state.
