Two unified models of dark matter (DM) and dark energy (DE) are analysed, namely the Generalized Chaplygin Gas and the Modified Chaplygin Gas models. We study the qualitative behaviour of gravitational perturbations in both models, analysing their dynamical systems which describe the linear density perturbations, and graphically show the wavenumber, or k-dependence of the solutions. Finally we compare the two models and try to conclude which of them is close to available observations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
