This study aims to know the variety of errors, the most typical error and the least typical error on grammar writing for the grade students in the state of junior high school 5 Setu, and also to make teaching and learning activities more effective and efficient. This research is descriptive research method. The research instrument in this research is writing task. Writer uses the questioners to collect the data. Students answer the questions and from the answers’ students are arranged to be paragraph. The discussion of the errors are frequently occurred in the students’ English writing capitalization have the high percentage 12.93%, punctuation 12.93%, spelling form 12.50%, word form 11.21%, singular-plural 10.34%, article 9.48%, present tense 8.62%, added word 8.62%, word choice 7.33%, preposition 4.31%, and omission 1.72%. By studying the percentage of the error analysis on English writing skill, the writer found the ability of the students in writing skill was neither too low nor too high. The most typical error is on capitalization (12.93%) and the least typical error is on omission (1.72%)

The objective of this research is to analyze about three important aspects, as the component of the story which are related to each other and also as the element of literature. The writer defines about Daniel Plainview’s character traits that his negative character traits are related to the factor of several conflicts in the story. The story depicts of his ambition, persistence, greed and hatred. Ambition and persistence influenced to his success achievement as the oilman, while his greed and hatred are related to the factor of several conflicts in the story. The second aspect is to identify some people who involved in conflicts with Daniel Plainview in the story and the third aspect is to define moral values reflection from the story as a wisdom  and life learning for the writer or for the readers. The writer applies content analysis which is the part of qualitative research. This research found that (1) the negative character traits are related to several conflicts and (2) moral values reflection defined as the generosity that as the opposite of greed which is depicted obviously from the main character.

The objectives of this research are to find out the positive and negative character of Belle’s in Beauty and The Beast Movie directed 2017 by Bill Condon. The author used qualitative method for this thesis, the researcher watching the movie Beauty and The Beast and read the play script carefully. The aim of this thesis is to reminder to all women that positive character is should be implementation in the daily of life. From this movie there are have the positive value that can be implementation in our lives, Belle have positive character that can motivation us in our daily life there are brave, helpful, clever, loving and openminded. In this study, the writer did a semiotic analysis towards the advertisement in television. The qualitative research method with content analysis approach is used because this study needs deeper analysis of the content where in this study was semiotic signs. It is found that the man in the picture is very special. He delivers happiness and togetherness condition. The happiness and togetherness are most displayed in this advertisement. Happiness is shown when People are able to start to chat without any gap easily and happily. Togetherness is displayed when people gather together in the café. The other sign is the strong aroma of the coffee that reminds the man about his past

The purposes of this study are: (1) To find out the figurative language used in Westlife’s selected songs (2) To know the general meaning of lyrics on the Westlife’s selected songs. In analyzing of figurative language used in Westlife’s selected songs lyrics, the writer using qualitative research methodology, the data is taken from several books and internet as well as. Based on research finding, the general meaning contained in Westlife''s selected songs lyric indirectly deliver to the listeners through the lyrics they wrote.The lyrics try to tell about human social life which contains happiness, sadness, loneliness and others. The writer could identified that most of figurative language which used in Westlife’s selected songs lyric is “Hyperbole”. The writer got the data from the table. Hyperbole has a great exaggeration used to emphasize a point.
