AbstrakPraktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) dirancang untuk mahasiswa semester akhirsebagaiwadah pelatihan para calon guru agar memiliki kecakapan keguruan secara lengkap dan terintegrasi. Program ini meliputi pelatihan praktek mengajar secara langsung dan latihan melaksanakan tugas serta layanan kependidikan lainnya. Pelaksanaannya dilakukan sesudah mahasiswa memperoleh bekal yang memadai dalam berbagai bidang yang berkaitan dengan tugasnya sebagai guru, berupa matakuliah yang menjadi prasyarat bagi mahasiswa untuk bisa mengikuti program ini. Fokus kajian ini adalah upaya mendeskripsikan Implementasi Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) bagimahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa Inggris Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Islam Lamongan yang dilaksanakan oleh tujuh mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam kelompok mahasiswa di SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan tahunak ademik 2018-2019 dari keseluruhan tujuh unit SMA/SMK Mitra kerja dan sebanyak 51 mahasiswa. Data diperoleh melalui kegiatan observasi berperan serta, wawancara, dan dokumentasi selanjutnya di analisa dengan menerapkan proses pengumpulan, reduksi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa praktik pengalaman lapangan (PPL) mahasiswa di SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan sebagai upaya penguatan calon guru menjadi pendidik profesional dapat terlaksana dengan memuaskan, mulai dari tahap persiapan, pembekalan, pembuatan program kerja yang meliputi: perangkat pembelajaran, pelaksanaan praktik mengajar, keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan ektra kurikuler, pembelajaran pada bidang layanan khusus dan penilaian yang dilakukan oleh guru pamong dan dosen pembimbing.
Reading is a cognitive process of decoding symbols in order to construct or derive meaning (reading comprehension). The objective of this study is to know the application of Make a Match Techniqueto improve the students’ reading comprehension at the Eight grade students of MTs Al Fattah Banyuurip Ujungpangkah Gresik and to know whether Make a Match Technique is able to improve the students’ reading comprehension in descriptive text. The study was conducted at MTs Al Fattah Banyuurip Ujungpangkah Gresik. The subject of this study was 23 student. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. The research used pre-test, post-test and observation checklist.To know the students’ improvement in reading comprehension, the researcher uses instruments are test and observation checklist. From the result observation checklist it shows that teaching learning by using Make a Match technique can improve succesfully the students’ reading comprehension. The average of preliminary test is 56.82, the result of test cycle I is 73.21 and theb result of cycle II is 78.34.
The objective of this study is using blended learning to develop vocational high school English writing material. It tries to develop writing material based on blended learning in vocational high school. This study is research and development (R&D) adapted by Sugiyono’s model. There are nine stages applied in the study. They are (1) need survey, (2) design product, (3) design validation, (4) design revision, (5) try out 1, (6) product revision, (7) try out 2, (8) final product revision, (9) production. The try out place at tenth grade of SMK Negeri 1Lamongan. The data gained through interviews, questionnaires and observations checklist. The interviews are for students need and teachers need. Questionnaires are to do the concept analysis, to submit the experts’ appraisal and to get the student’s responses. Furthermore, the observation checklist is used to conduct developing testing. The result of the study is (1) all of students enthusiastic in blended learning method for writing English learning. The third conclusion, the students of SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan gave positive response to all the activities in “Writing Blended Learning” book. They were appreciating and feeling helpful during in writing English class. The last conclusion is using the Writing Blended Learning handbook can help students improve their English writing skills and made the students more excited when learning English writing. Finally, the product of the study is the handbook entitled “Writing Blended Learning” which comprises 9 materials divided into two semesters
The objective of this study is to measure whether there is or not significant effect of teaching reading by utilizing Hot Potatoes software toward students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text. The variables used were the teaching treatment of Hot Potatoes Software as the independent variable and the students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text as dependent variable. Then, the research designed was Quasi-experimental design and the presentation of data used was quantitative. The data were obtained from the eleventh grade, of which 28 students were taken as sample. The students are divided into two groups; experiment group consisted of 12 students and control group consists of 16 students. To get the data, the pre-test and post-test were applied and then analyzed using t-test formula. The researcher had concluded that there is Significant effect of Hot Potatoes Software toward the students’ reading comprehension achievement. The result showed that mean of students’ post-test was increased. It is proved by the t-test (8.54) which is higher than t-table (2.05) at level of significance 5%. It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and it proved that Hot Potatoes Software had significant effect toward students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text
