SARS-CoV-2 caused coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). COVID-19 global pandemic started in late 2019 with the first wave. 1 Lung damage is common in COVID-19 such as histologically-proven pneumonitis or interstitial damage and fibrosis. Pneumonia is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in COVID-19. Lung involvement in patients with COVID-19 could range from asymptomatic to overt adult respiratory distress syndrome requiring intubation.
