Palabras clave: Combustión, cascarilla de arroz, captura de dióxido de carbono, carbonato de calcio.SUMMARY: The present work is aimed at studying the processes of capture of combustion gases of rice husk with alkaline solutions of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and potassium hydroxide (KOH) and its subsequent trans- formation into calcium carbonate (CaCO ), a substance useful in agriculture, by adding calcium chloride (CaCl ) in aqueous solution. Was determined the basic characteristics of the process of capture of com- bustion gases such as reaction time, pH, mass and performance of calcium carbonate (CaCO ) obtained.Key words: Combustion, rice husk, carbon dioxide capture, calcium carbonat
Palabras clave: Agua potable, Potabilización, Filtración en múltiples etapas, Tecnología FiME, Apropiación tecnológica.ABSTRACT: This study evaluated how five educational institutions from Villavicencio and Acacias (in the Meta department, Colombia) were exploiting multistage filtration (MSF) technology-based drinking-water treatment. It was demonstrated that the product from the water-treatment plants installed to date (drinking water) is high quality, in spite of most educational communities not yet having fully mastered this technology. Consequently, the elements favouring technology-transfer, the obstacles hampering process consolidation and whether the proposed goals had been achieved were thus identified.Key words: drinking water, water potabilisation, multistage filtration, MSF technology, technology-transfer.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
