Purpose: To systematically present the publication trends related to sustainable energy, which is an interdisciplinary concept. Design/methodology/approach: This study performed bibliometric analysis to investigate sustainable energy research between 1980 and 2022 using a sample of 1498 research papers from the Web of Science (WoS) databases, with only published articles on sustainable energy. Findings: A bibliometric analysis reveals trends in sustainable energy research publications, showing sustainable energy as an emerging topic and trends in sustainability and energy research. However, it seems that sustainable energy is still a niche area of study. Within the scope of the study, 2857 publications were included in the analysis. Of the publications included in the analysis, 1498 are articles and 1089 are other publication types. As a result of the analysis, the number of articles on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement has significantly increased since 2015. In 2022, the highest number was reached. It is seen that this finding is related to energy supply security and the reflections of geopolitical risks on it. The keyword “sustainable energy” stands out as the most frequently used keyword. Research limitations/implications: This research analysis is based on data from the Web of Science database only; there will be some shortcomings in the findings. Originality/Value: This research contributes to the field by exploring current developments in the field of sustainable energy, highlighting current gaps in the literature, and recommending future research in this field. The fact that the keywords “sustainable energy”, “renewable energy”, “sustainability”, and “sustainable development” are frequently included in the literature shows that interdisciplinary academic studies in these fields are of great importance.

Bir başka ifade ile çalışma kapsamında, kavramsal ve dönemsel bir değerlendirme yapılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, Merkantilizm, Fizyokrasi, Klasik İktisat, Keynesyen, Yeni Keynesyen ve Yeni Klasik İktisat Kuramları, Rosenstein-Rodan (Büyük İtiş Modeli), Perroux'a (Büyüme /Kalkınma Kutupları Teorisi) gibi bölgesel kalkınma kuramları; von Thünen, A. Weber, Christaller, Lösch, W.Isard, P. Krugman'ın yer seçim kuramları değerlendirilmektedir. Ayrıca, son dönem değişimleri açıklamaya yönelen, Manuel Castells tarafından sunulan zaman ve mekân tartışması kapsamında değerlendirmeler yapılmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, kalkınma kuramlarında mekânın ve zamanın karşılığı, yeri, değişimi ve nasıl değişip dönüştüğü değerlendirilmektedir.

In order to provide solutions to the problems (economic, social, cultural, spatial, environmental, political) arising from the increase in population density in cities, and to respond to expectations such as increasing the quality of life of people, ensuring sustainable growth, and conducting business efficiently and effectively regardless of time and space. concept came to the fore. In recent years, policy makers, think tanks, companies and scientists have turned to smart city studies. The number of studies/projects on different components of the smart city (smart governance, smart economy, smart people, smart life, smart environment and smart mobility) has increased rapidly in Turkey as well as in the world. In the study, it is aimed to present a regular bibliography in order to guide readers and researchers who are interested in the subject of smart city. In the study, descriptive survey method, one of the quantitative research designs, was used.Between 2012 and 2020, the relevant master's and doctoral theses were identified by scanning with the keywords “akıllı kent”, “akıllı şehir”, "smart city", “akıllı ekonomi” and "smart economy" in the title of the thesis from the Advanced Search section in the Search interface of the YÖK National Thesis Center website on the subject of smart city. As a result of the search, while no thesis could be found in the “akıllı ekonomi” and “smart economy” keywords, a total of 75 postgraduate theses were reached in the “smart city”, “akıllı kent”, “akıllı şehir” keywords. 69 of these theses are at master's level and 6 of them are at doctorate level. Within the scope of the study, evaluations were made under 8 different headings, including the year these theses were published, the research method, the language of writing, the university they were written in, the type of university they were written in, the field they were written in, the institute they were written in, and the academic degree of the advisor.

Bu çalışma, interdisipliner bir alan olarak kabul edilen ve akademik çevrede ilgi gören kentsel dönüşüm kavramına dönük Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında yapılmış kentsel dönüşüm çalışmaları üzerine bibliyometrik bir inceleme yapmayı hedeflemektedir. Herhangi bir alanda literatürü gözden geçirmek için kullanılan nicel bir teknik olan bibliyometrik analiz ile kentsel dönüşüm üzerine yapılan çalışmalar değerlendirmiştir. Bu kapsamda 1975-2021 yılları arasında WoS veri tabanında yer alan 'kentsel dönüşüm' başlıklı 1648 çalışma derinlemesine analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizlerde VOSviewer yazılımından yararlanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda kentsel dönüşüm konusunda en fazla akademik çalışma yapan kurumun Hong Kong Politeknik Üniversitesi, yayıncının Journal of Urban History ve araştırmacının Hao Wang olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this chapter is to make assessments of the metaverse's utility in urban policies. Within the scope of the study, the role of the metaverse in increasing people's quality of life, increasing efficiency in business processes, and creating policies that will meet expectations by changing the understanding of service delivery in public administration will be discussed. A literature review was conducted in this context in order to develop a theoretical framework for the concept of the metaverse. In the literature review, articles, book chapters, proceedings papers, websites, and reports were used. In the application part, the projects carried out by the municipalities on the metaverse were examined in detail within the scope of city management.
