Palabras clave: Discapacidad intelectual leve; WISC-IV; coeficiente de inteligencia; diagnóstico; habilidades AbstractMild intellectual disability is a problem that affects a large percentage of children and adolescents, the absence of an diagnosis adequate causes a delay in the abilities of those who present it. The objective of this research was to evaluate, through a WISC-IV, an adolescent with mild cognitive impairment, to develop an intervention program in order to reinforce her cognitive abilities. This research carried out within a mixed approach with a non- experimental longitudinal – trend. During the evaluation process with this instrument, the young woman obtains a total CIT of 50 as a baseline. At the end of the treatment the adolescent receives a total CIT of 67. By having a diagnosis about cognitive disability and knowing your intelligence quotient correctly, an appropriate treatment can be provided where the person's abilities are benefited in an integral way. Keywords: Mild Intellectual Disability; WISC–IV; Intelligence Quotient; Diagnosis; abilities
