Abstract-This randomized control trial study was aimed to compare the effect of cognitive-behavioral counseling and strengths-based counseling models towards the resilience students. The 99 students participants of the study were assigned randomly into three different conditions as follows; 32 students in cognitive-behavioral counseling group; 33 students in the strengths-based counseling group; and 34 students as the waiting-list control. The data was gathered by using the 14 items of the psychological resilience scale. The data of the study was analyzed using RM-ANCOVA. The results of the study indicated that: (1) there are statistically significant of enhancing the resilience of both participants in cognitive-behavioral counseling and strengths-based counseling group, and (2) the resilience of the students in the cognitive-behavioral counseling group is significantly higher than students in the strengths-based counseling group or in the waiting-list control group. The conclusion is that the cognitive-behavioral counseling is more effective than the strengths-based counseling model.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of self instruction technique in cognitive behavior counseling to improve the self efficacy in social relation of vocational students. This experimental study using Single Case Experimental Design (SCED) model of the A-B-A'. The subject of research are three students of SMKN 2 Malang which show a low level of self efficacy social based on the scale of self efficacy social. The research instrument used as scale self efficacy social with the validity 0.3 and reliability 0, 883, observation guidelines, and counseling guidelines. The results showed that subjects experienced an increase in social self-efficacy after a treatment given. Data has been analyzed using a visual inspection showed significant changes, so that it can be concluded self-instruction techniques in cognitive behavioral counseling is effective to improve student's social self-efficacy SMKN 2 Malang.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan teknik self instruction untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri sosial siswa SMKN 2 Malang. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan metode Single Case Experimental Design (SCED) model A-B-A'. Subjek penelitian berjumlah tiga siswa kelas X di SMKN 2 Malang yang menunjukkan tingkat efikasi diri sosial rendah berdasarkan skala efikasi diri-sosial. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala efikasi diri sosial dengan validitas butir 0,3 dan realibilitas 0, 883, pedoman observasi, dan pedoman konseling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek mengalami peningkatan efikasi diri sosial setelah diberikan treatment. Data yang telah dianalisis menggunakan visual inspection menunjukkan perubahan secara signifikan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan teknik self instruction dalam konseling kognitif-perilaku efektif untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri sosial siswa SMKN 2 Malang.Kata kunci: self instruction; konseling kognitif-perilaku; efikasi diri sosial; SMKN 2 Malang
<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aims to determine the contribution of social support, self-esteem, and resilience to the academic stress of high school students with path analysis methods with a sample of 307 students taken by cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument was developed by authors with item validity> 0.30 and reliability> 0.70. The results showed a direct contribution of social support and self-esteem to the resilience of 0.242 and 0.453 sig (0.000). The direct contribution of social support, self-esteem, and resilience to academic stress were -0.153, -0.118, and -0.583 sig (0.000). Indirect contribution of social support and self-esteem to academic stress through the resilience of -0.141 and -0.264.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan<strong> untuk</strong> mengetahui kontribusi dukungan sosial, <em>self-esteem</em> dan resiliensi terhadap stres akademik siswa SMA dengan metode analisis jalur dengan sampel 307 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik <em>cluster random sampling</em>. The purposes of this research is to discover the impact of self-adjustment on student academic achievement. The method that used in this study is a correlational study with random sampling. The subject of the research is Timorese student is studying in Indonesia, there are 180 samples. The data collection has used a scale of Likert. The date is analyzed with simple correlation. The result showed there is 46.1% of significant and positive correlation of self-adjustment on student academic achievement. It means if selfadjustment being conducted well, student academic achievement will increase.
<pre><strong>Abstrak:</strong> This research aims to improve the empathy abilities of junior high school students. This research was used design quasi- experimental with one experimental group. The subjects were 8</pre><sup>th</sup><pre> grade students of junior high school. The subject with moderate empathy scores who were taken randomly. The procedure of this treatment in this study was carried out in six meetings with colaboration design from virtual group guidance stage and photovoice technique stage. This research result showed that there was a difference scores between before and after given treatment. This research used the Wilcoxon data analysis, from that analysis showed the asymp sig (2-tailed) is 0.012. Base on that data was meant that the hyphothesis by the researcher was accepted. Base on that explanation can concluded that the virtual guidance group with the photovoice technique is proven to be effective for increasing the empathy abbilities for junior high school students. Suggestions for the next researchers to this research is can do this research with other design methods, such as use the true experimental research by adding a control group to get result much develop.</pre><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan empati siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan satu kelompok eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP, sebanyak delapan siswa dengan skor empati sedang yang diambil secara acak. Prosedur perlakuan pada penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak enam kali pertemuan dengan rancangan desain yang terdiri dari kolaborasi antara tahapan bimbingan kelompok virtual dengan tahapan teknik <em>photovoice</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan skor antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Melalui analisis data Wilcoxon diperoleh hasil asymp sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0.012. Hasil analisis tersebut menyatakan bahwa hipotesis yang disusun oleh peneliti diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok virtual dengan teknik <em>photovoice</em> terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan empati siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Saran untuk peneliti berikutnya dapat melakukan penelitian ini dengan rancangan metode penelitian yang lain, seperti penelitian eksperimen murni dengan menambahkan kelompok kontrol agar hasil penelitian lebih berkembang<strong>.</strong>
