Highlights Bezold’s abscess is an infectious complication of mastoiditis rarely seen in the current era of antimicrobials. It can lead to seriously sequelae if not diagnosed and treated early The key is prompt drainage. The advantage of our article is that this case is distinguished from other Bezold’s abscesses by an otoscopy revealing a non-inflammatory eardrum without signs of chronic otitis media which is exceptional and may be misleading for the clinician.

IntroductionHidradenoma papilliferum, also known as papillary hidradenoma, is a rare tumor of the sudoral glands, that occurs almost exclusively in women, on the vulvar and perineal region. Non-genital papillary hydradenoma is an even more rare occurrence, though some cases have been described in literature.This is a report of a 56 years old patient who presented with unilateral hearing loss secondary to a mass of the external auditory canal (EAC). A biopsy allowed us to make the diagnosis of a papillary hidradenoma of the EAC. The treatment was based on surgery; the tumor was removed while respecting the adjacent structures. Follow-up of the patient shows no actual recurrence.ConclusionEctopic Hidradenoma papilliferum located in the EAC is a rare occurrence, and should be considered as a possible diagnosis when investigating a mass of the EAC.

<p>Epidermoid carcinoma is a frequent tumor in the upper aerodiodestive tracts, and depending on its location and tumor, nodes, metastases (TNM) stage, its therapy and prognosis vary enormously. Its location in the hypopharynx is rare, and in children or young adolescents, this location is extremely rare; The incriminated causes and the pathophysiology of the development of these tumors at this age remain a mystery. We present the case of a young patient of 13 years old, followed for squamous cell carcinoma of the right piriform sinus, with contralateral synchronous tonsil localization, and right lateral cervical lymphadenopathy fixed at 5 cm. In the absence of existing guidelines on the management of this type of location at this age, a multi-disciplinary meeting was necessary to decide on the management of this difficult case at this age.</p>
