Modern pharmacotherapy in the fight against multidrug resistance in cancers • The phenomenon of multidrug resistance (MDR) of cancer cells is currently considered the main cause of failure of pharmacological oncological treatment. Researches focused on developing effective anticancer therapies are a real challenge for scientists all over the world and they are diversified. Special interest arouses the searching for new drugs among multidrug resistance protein inhibitors, the use of targeted therapy, including tyrosine kinase inhibitors and inducers of apoptosis, as well as immunotherapy. The development of modern drug forms is of great importance for the creation of new preparations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
