daily and most (88.4%) were heard within the same room. However, only 55.7% admitted that their snoring affected other people's sleep; 25.4% were embarrassed about their snoring and almost one-fifth avoided sharing rooms. Only about 8.4% felt that their work performances were affected; 26.3% complained about their spouses' snoring; 26.1% felt that it would affect their marital life but the majority (96.1%) of them were still willing to share the same room. CONCLUSIONS: The conclusion was that snoring is common in Singapore. BMI and age are risk factors of snoring. Its psychosocial impact is important and should not be underestimated.
