Mung beans are plants that have high economic value but the production of mung beans in Indonesia is still low. Dung serves to provide nutrients for plants, improve soil structure, and retain water in the soil. MOL (local microorganisms) banana corm has a number of microorganisms that can help plants absorb nutrients found in the soil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between types of dung (dung) and banana corm local micro organization (MOL) on the growth and yield of mung beans Vima 2 and to determine the type of dung and the MOL dose of banana corm that was best for the growth and yield of mung bean plants. The method used in this study was a randomized block design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the type of dung = no dung (j0), chicken dung (dung) (jl), goat dung (j2) and cow dung (j3). The second factor was the MOL dose of banana weevil, 0 ml plant-1 (m0), 50 ml plant-1 (m1) and 100 ml plant-1 (m2). The results showed that the application of dung and the MOL dose of banana corm did not show any interaction, but there was an independent influence by the type of dung on the parameters of plant height, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, weight of seeds planted, and harvest index, so that the type of dung that gives optimum results in mung bean cultivation is chicken dung.
Agricultural land in South Borneo has high rice productivity. The supporting factors for rice productivity are irrigation areas, one of which is the Maluka Baulin Swamp Irrigation Area (DIR). It is located in Kurau, Tanah Laut Regency. It has an area of 421 ha (Decree of the Minister PUPR of the Republic Indonesia) now to 286 ha (land function and administrative other villages) with use as agricultural land. It so far has a low average rice production and cropping index of one crop in one year. The purpose of this study was to analyze the availability and demand of water well as the provision of irrigation water based on the water balance for the development of cropping patterns and schedules. This study collects primary and secondary data. Preliminary data are location survey, instantaneous discharge, and questionnaire. Secondary data are climatological data, maps of land types, and data on the discharge Tabanio-Bajuin River. The water requirement is obtained from the calculation of land preparation and consumptive use of water for plants. Water availability is obtained by analyzing rainfall, calculating evapotranspiration, calibrating F.J. Mock Model discharge, and calculating mainstay discharge. The temporary result obtained the water balance is land area is obtained with cropping pattern and schedule that increases to paddy-paddy-palawija, which was previously only paddy-paddy. Then, agricultural production, especially rice and secondary crops, will directly grow.
Sari. Durian 'Kamajaya' is a type of local durian that is almost extinct. Tissue culture is one of the methods that can be used as a plant conservation. However, many problems arise in Durian tissue culture, one of which is the sterilization method. The objective of this study was to obtain an appropriate in vitro sterilization method for the multiplication of Durian 'Kamajaya'. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, from May to September 2019. The durian buds were used as plant explant sterilized for initiation with tissue culture techniques using different sterilization methods as following running water, detergent, fungicides , bactericide, alcohol 70% , PCMX antiseptic 10%, polysorbate surfactant 3 drops per L, clorox (10% and 20%), and HgCl2 0.1%. The results showed that the sterilization of Durian 'Kamajaya' using water flow + soaking in detergent for 10 minutes + fungicide for 10 minutes + Clorox 20% and polysorbate surfactant 3 drops per L for 20 minutes + Clorox 10% for 10 minutes + HgCl2 0.1% for 1 minute gave the lowest percentage of contamination (20%) and the highest life presentation(80%).Keywords: Durian 'Kamajaya' ∙ Tissue culture ∙ Sterilization
