Objective: The main objective of this research were screened in vitro and in silico of 1,5-bis (3'-ethoxy-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-1,4-pentadiene-3-one as potential antibacterial agents. Methods:The in vitro antibacterial study was carried against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis (gram positive) and Escherichia coli, Salmonella thypi (gram negative) using broth dilution method to determine Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC), disc diffusion method to determine the diameter of inhibition zone. In silico antibacterial study was carried using computational software Protein-Ligand ANT System (PLANTS), computational docking was carried using receptor with Protein Data Bank (PDB) file 3MZD. The structures were optimized prior docking using YASARA, and MarvinSketch. The results of antibacterial testing were compared to two positive control drugs i. e amoxicillin and cefadroxil. Results:In vitro evaluation showed that 1,5-bis (3'-ethoxy-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-1,4-pentadiene-3-one has a better antibacterial activity than amoxicillin and cefadroxil with a Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of 0.15 ppm and diameter of inhibition zone of 11.27±0.31, 11.35±0.39, 11.25±0.33, and 11.05±0.45 mm in Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella thypi, respectively. These results in line with in silico evaluation that showed 1,5-bis (3'-ethoxy-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-1,4-pentadiene-3-one has more negative docking score than amoxicillin, cefadroxil, and cloxacillin acyl as a native ligand on the 3MZD receptor. Conclusion:This results obtained in this research work were 1,5-bis (3'-ethoxy-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-1,4-pentadiene-3-one compound potential as an antibacterial agent.
Sekolah Menengah Tingkat Atas (SMA) memiliki ruang lingkup keilmuan yang sangat luas salah satunya ialah ilmu kimia. Di dalam ilmu kimia menyajikan proses, notasi-notasi kimia, jenis, dan susunan materi. Proses-proses kimia dapat dituliskan dalam bentuk yang ringkas, seperti persamaan reaksi, dengan tidak menghilangkan aspek mikroskopis dan makroskopis yang terjadi pada proses kimia tersebut. Persamaan reaksi ini merupakan aspek simbolis dalam kimia. Semua zat yang terlibat dalam persamaan reaksi juga merupakan aspek simbolik dari kimia. Dengan kata lain, rumus-rumus kimia, seperti lambang atom, lambang unsur, lambang atau rumus senyawa, semuanya ini merupakan aspek simbolis dari kimia. Aspek simbolis ini merupakan hal penting dalam kimia. Pelatihan penggunaan software ChemSketch menjadi hal yang sangat penting dilakukan untuk siswa SMA khususnya jurusan IPA sebagai pengayaan pada mata pelajaran kimia dan meningkatkan skill dalam penyajian data kimia guna meningkatkan kualitas lulusan. Software ChemSketch menyajikan simbol–simbol proses, notasi-notasi kimia, susunan materi, dan beberapa penyajian gambar berbagai alat laboratorium, yang cukup mudah untuk digunakan. Pelatihan penggunaan ChemSketch untuk siswa SMA N 13 Depok telah dilaksanakan secara online dengan penuh antusias, materi relevan dengan materi pelajaran kimia, penyampaian materi mudah diterima dan cukup menarik.
Objective:This study was conducted to analyze the impact of universal health coverage in Indonesia, known as Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) on percentage of patients who did fasting blood glucose (FBG) tests each hospital visit and clinical outcomes (CO) among type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. Methods:We conducted a longitudinal retrospective study to collect the data from 6-month before JKN and 1-year after JKN at three hospitals in Jakarta Province. All T2DM outpatient's services using Asuransi Kesehatan (ASKES) with at least 6 hospital visits were included in the study. The subject with double insurances and died before implementation of JKN were excluded from the study. The CO before and after JKN were compared with Wilcoxon test.Results: Total samples that collected were 296 patients divided to predominance female with 166 (56%) and male 125 (44%). From the data, it seemed that there were no all patients who did FBG test. We founded 50% of patients had FBG test before JKN. Meanwhile, the percentage at the beginning of JKN tended to be lower about 37% than before JKN. Number of patients decreased associate with JKN but number of hospital visit increased. Based on FBG level, 17 (9.19%) patients had better CO and this number increased slightly after JKN to 22 (11.89%). In contrast, patients with worse FBG level decreased about 9%. More patients had bad stable and less patients had good stable FBG level. Statistical analysis showed that CO between before and after JKN had p=0.404 among T2DM outpatients in Type A hospitals and p=0.877 in Type B hospital.Conclusion: Implementation of JKN had an impact to decrease percentage of patients who did FBG tests and number of patients but raised hospital visit. CO was different significantly between before and after JKN among T2DM outpatients in Type A hospitals but was no different in Type B hospital.
Senyawa 1,5-bis(3’-etoksi-4’-hidroksifenil)-1,4-pentadien-3-on (EHP) merupakan analog kurkumin yang memiliki aktivitas antimikroba. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan formulasi dan evaluasi larutan pencuci mulut dengan EHP sebagai bahan aktif antimikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formula dan menguji kestabilan formula obat kumur dengan bahan aktif EHP. Formulasi larutan pencuci mulut dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi senyawa EHP 3, 6, 12, 16 dan 18 bpj. Evaluasi larutan pencuci mulut meliputi uji organoleptik, pH, kejernihan, bobot jenis dan aktivitas antimikroba terhadap Staphylococcus aureus, Steptococcus mutans, dan Candida albicans. Uji antimikroba dilakukan dengan metode diffusi agar. Hasil evaluasi sediaan obat yang didapat dari pengujian organoleptik antara lain obat kumur berupa cairan dengan warna biru jernih, aroma mint dan rasa segar; memiliki rentang pH 6,15 - 6,74; dan bobot jenis 1,0419 - 1,0561 g/cm3. Evaluasi larutan pencuci mulut menunjukkan bahwa larutan pencuci mulut stabil dalam penyimpanan selama 1 bulan pada suhu 40°C. Uji antimikroba menunjukkan diameter daya hambat terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538); Streptococcus mutans (ATCC 31987) dan Candida albicans (ATCC 10231) berkisar antara 6,2-8,4 mm pada konsentrasi senyawa EHP 18 bpj. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa senyawa EHP sangat potensial digunakan sebagai bahan antimikroba dalam formula larutan pencuci mulut.

Software ini menyajikan simbol – simbol proses, notasi-notasi kimia, jenis, susunan materi, dan beberapa penyajian gambar berbagai alat laboratorium, yang cukup mudah untuk digunakan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 23 Oktober 2019 kepada siswa SMK Kesehatan Pelita Ciampea Bogor. Para siswa sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan, mudah memahami materi dan mengalami peningkatan ketrampilan setelah proses pelatihan. In chemistry, presenting processes, chemical notations, types, and compositions of matter that can be presented in a concise form, such as a reaction equation without eliminating microscopic and macroscopic aspects in the process. Reaction equations are a symbolic aspect of chemistry. All substances involved in the equation of a reaction are also symbolic aspects of chemistry. Chemical formulas, such as atomic symbols, element symbols, symbols or formulas for compounds, are all symbolic aspects of chemistry. This symbolic aspect is important in chemistry. Training on the use of ChemDraw software is very important for vocational high school (SMK) students, especially those majoring in pharmacy, in order to improve skills in presenting chemical data considering that Vocational High School graduates are expected to become human resources who are ready to work and have quality in their fields. . This software presents process symbols, chemical notations, types, composition of materials, and several image presentations of various laboratory tools, which are quite easy to use. The training was held on October 23th 2019 for students of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Ciampea Bogor. The students were very enthusiastic about participating in the activities, easy to understand the material and experienced an increase in skills after the training process.
