Linear regression is widely used in various fields. Research on linear regression uses the OLS and ML method in estimating its parameters. OLS and ML method require many assumptions to complete. It is frequently found there is an unconditional assumption that both methods are not successfully used. This paper proposes a new method which does not require any assumption with a condition. The new method is called SAM (Simple Averaging Method) to estimate parameters in the simple linear regression model. The method may be used without fulfilling assumptions in the regression model. Three new theorems are formulated to simplify the estimation of parameters in the simple linear regression model with SAM. By using the same data, the simple linear regression model parameter estimation is conducted using SAM. The result shows that the obtained regression parameter is not quite far different. However, to measure the accuracy of both methods, a comparison of errors made by each method is conducted using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Averaged Error (MAE). By comparing the values of RMSE and MAE for both methods, SAM method may be used to estimate parameters in the regression equation. The advantage of SAM is free from all assumptions required by regression, such as error normality assumption while the data should be from the normal distribution.
The Saka calendrical inscriptions recorded the time journey in its own specific way, such as the use of suklapaksa and kresnapaksa, equipped with saptawara, pancawara and sadwara day names. At the next stage, it is addedd with wuku. During the Majapahit era, the time dimensional recording was expanded to include such elements as naksatra, yoga, karaṇa, muhūrta, dewatā, grahacāra, parweśa, mandala, and rāśi. This article traces the journey of usage of these time dimensions and completes it with the sculpture samples in some inscriptions from Majapahit era or after, and proposes it as the archipelago’s ethnoastronomy.
Violence against women is one of the cases that often gets attention and news in various mass media and electronic media today. In Komnas Perempuan's Annual Records, there were 406,178 cases of violence against women reported and handled throughout 2018. This number increased compared to the previous year's 348,466 cases. This study was conducted to try to group 35 districts/cities in Central Java into 3 clusters based on the number of women (age 18+) victims of violence. Grouping is done using the k-means cluster method. The regencies/cities in Central Java are grouped into 3 clusters, namely: cluster 1 there is 1 Regency/City with a high number of women (age 18+) victims of violence, cluster 2 there are 4 Regency/City with a high number of victims of violence. female (age 18+) victims of violence. moderate, and cluster 3 there are 30 districts/cities with a low number of women (age 18+) victims of violence.
This research may provide the solutions (if any) from the Non-linear Diophantine equation (7 k — 1) x + (7 k ) y = Z 2.There are 3 possibilities to determine the solutions from the Non-linear Diophantine equation: single solution, multiple solutions, and no solution. The research method is conducted in two stages: first, using a simulation to determine the solutions (if any) from the Non-linear Diophantine equation (7 k — 1) x + (7 k ) y = z 2; second, using Catalan conjecture and characteristics of congruency theory, which is proven that the Non-k linear Diophantine equation has a single solution ( x , y , z ) = ( 1 , 0 , 7 k 2 ) for x, y, z as non-negative whole numbers and k as the positive even whole number.
In this paper we consider the solution formula for Stokes equation system without surface tension in half-space. More precisely, we deal with the solution of velocity and density for the model problem. This result is the basic step to estimate the solution operator of the model problem. We investigate the solution operator for the model problem in N-Dimensional Euclidean space (ℕ ≥ 2
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
