Breast cancer puts a heavy burden on health systems around the world. In developing countries, such as Iran, women's age of breast cancer onset is lower and so many patients are of childbearing ages. Therefore, the relative frequency of breast cancer cases in pregnancy and lactation is higher. Pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) occurs during pregnancy, in the first post-partum year, or during lactation. However, some authors have expanded this period up to 2 years during lactation. PABC has an incidence of 0.3 per 1000 pregnancies. [1][2][3][4]
