While the advances in technology offer many conveniences to people's lives, on the other hand they lead to difficult or even impossible damage that can be brought back to people's common uses. Although environmental pollution consists of many factors, the factors that cause damage to the environment most is the vehicle based environment pollution. Determination of air pollutants from internal combustion engines is of great importance due to their negative effects on human health and the environment. In this study, traffic density was determined by vehicle counted on the roads surrounding the province of Van. The emission inventory of the airborne air pollutants (CO, NOx, PM, VOC) was extracted by using "EMEP / EEA Air Pollutant Emission Inventory Guidebook" emission factors. Thus, the amount of emission affecting the province of Van was determined. According to the data obtained from the study results, the total emission amount given to the atmosphere was found to be approximately CO 442.78 ton year -1 , NOx 83.01 ton year -1 , PM 8.01 ton year -1 and VOC 70.41 ton year -1 . Unless the precautions are taken, pollution in the province will affect the life of living organisms negatively and create irretrievable results on the environment and human health.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
