Masih banyak kalangan mahasiswa yang berlatar belakang ilmu pendidikan khususnya pendidikan dasar, belum memahami penyusunan tabel distribusi frekuensi, oleh karena itu penulis mencoba menulis materi distribusi frekuensi. Jenis penulisan ini adalah bersifat studi literatur dan bertujuan untuk mempelajari distribusi frekuensi dan aplikasinya pada ilmu pendidikan. Fokus pembahasan dalam penulisan ini adalah menjabarkan (1) definisi distribusi frekuensi, (2) istilah-istilah dalam distribusi frekuensi, (3) langkah-langkah menyusun daftar distribusi frekuensi, (4) jenis-jenis tabel distribusi frekuensi, dan (5) aplikasinya dalam ilmu pendidikan. Hasil pembahasan yang diperoleh adalah (1) uraian tentang definisi distribusi frekuensi, (2) uraian istilah-istilah dalam distribusi frekuensi, (3) langkah-langkah membuat daftar distribusi frekuensi, (4) jenis-jenis tabel distribusi frekuensi, dan (5) aplikasinya terhadap data hipotetik.
Pengenalan menghafal Al-Qur’an atau disebut juga Tahfidz Al-Qur’an merupakan salah satu program unggulan sekolah-sekolah baik sekolah yang berstatus sekolah Negeri maupun Sekolah Swasta. Meskipun pada awalnya program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an tidak atau kurang diminati baik oleh pengelola pendidikan atau pun orang tuda dan siswa. Namun, sekarang program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an terbukti menjadi salah satu program unggulan sekolah-sekolah. Bahkan dengan menerapkan program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an, banyak sekolah-sekolah tersebut yang banyak dicari dan diminati. Penelitian ini mengangkat tentang kelebihan-kelebihan dari program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an yang dilaksanakan oleh sekolah-sekolah yang kemudian menjadi sekolah favorit, sekolah besar dan bahkan Program Tahfodz Al-Qur’an biasa dimunculkan di Banner-banner, baliho, pamphlet penerimaan siswa baru dengan urutan paling atas kemudian disusul program-progam unggulan lain. Bagi orangtua siswa, menyekolahkan anak pada lembaga pendidikan yang melaksanakan program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an adalah sebuah kebanggan. Mereka mempunyai mimpi kelak anak-anak mereka menjadi para Muhafidz AL-Qur’an yang akan menuntun mereka dan memakaikan mahkota dari emas pada hari kiamat kelak.
This article stimulated by the fact that the aim education of the Al-Qur’an perspective and western education are still not understood by various group. This condition is influenced by the lack of curiosity about the educational goals of the Al-Qur’an perspektive and westren education. The aims of article was to give a clear picture about the aim education of Al-Qur’an perspective and western education.This study revealed that the aims of education of the Al-Qur’an in relation and westren education can be known by the public. The implication of this current study is to create awareness among the society towards the educational objectives of Al-Quran and western education perspective. The method used in this study uses analytical methods, types of research, and research data sources. The data analysis method used is by using descriptive methods, namely a method that examines a condition, a system of thought or an event that occurs in the present. Various studies on learning methods continue to develop a learning method that can increase students' enthusiasm for learning activities and outcomes. This research aimed to measure the increase in students' learning activities and outcomes using the Observation-Based Learning (OBL) method as a practical learning alternative. The research was a Classroom Action Research, and the subjects were the eighth-grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 2 Makassar in English lesson. The procedure of this research was carried out in four cycles, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research used quantitative and qualitative approaches by calculating the increase in students' learning activities and outcomes using the observation sheet, pre-test, and post-test. The results showed that the OBL method had an instructional and nurturing effect. This can be seen by observing curiosity, discipline, motivation, flexibility, and enthusiasm through the visual, oral, emotional, and mental activities. Besides, the OBL method was proven to shift the learning paradigm from subject-oriented and teacher-centered to student-centered. In this research, the designated learning method could be implemented well in English lessons in the eighth grade of MTsN 2 Makassar. This means that it can also be adopted in any other lessons or subjects from basic education to secondary education. Therefore, the OBL method has a significant impact on both teachers and students to create and even increase enthusiasm for learning activities and outcomes.
Salah satu model pembelajaran yang memungkinkan peserta didik untuk berinteraksi satu sama lain adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe word square. Model pembelajaran tipe ini adalah peserta didik bekerja sama dalam kelompok kecil dan saling membantu dalam belajar dapat memotivasi peserta didik, memanfaatkan seluruh energi sosial peserta didik, saling mengambil tanggung jawab. Model pembelajaran tipe word square membantu peserta didik belajar menemukan topik-topik materi pelajaran sesuai dengan konten dan keadaan peserta didik dalam lingkungan mereka. Menemukan kata-kata yang sesuai dengan permasalahan yang diberikan selama pembelajaran.
