The infrared radiation properties and characteristics of the ternary solid, titanium boronitride, were investigated in the wavelength region from 1.0 to 10.01 at 1300OK. The normal spectral emittance, integrated normal total emittance, and infrared radiation intensity were determined for this material with both rough and polished surfaces. The normal total emissivity of the material was also calculated based on the weighted average of the normal total emissivities of the constituent compounds. The results are in good agreement with the experimental values.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
