This study presents a new KEmeny Median Indicator Ranks Accordance (KEMIRA) method for determining criteria priority and selection criteria weights in the case of two separate groups of criteria for solving multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. Kemeny median method is proposed to generalize experts' opinion. Medians are calculated applying three different measure functions. Criteria weights are calculated and alternatives ranking accomplished by solving optimization problem À À À minimization of ranks discrepancy function calculated for two groups of criteria. A numerical example for solving speci¯c task of elite selection from security personnel is given to illustrate the proposed method.
Entropy–KEMIRA approach is proposed for criteria ranking and weights determining when solving Multiple Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) problem in human resources selection task. For the first time the method is applied in the case of three groups of criteria. Weights are calculated by solving optimization problem of maximizing the number of elements, which are “best” according to all three criteria, and minimizing the number of “doubtful” elements. The algorithm of problem solution is presented in the paper. The numerical experiment with three groups of evaluation criteria describing 11 life goals was accomplished.
Abstract:The article deals with the task of elite selection of private security personnel on the basis of objective and subjective criteria. One of the possible solutions of this multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problem is creation of heuristics allowing to minimize discrepancy of ranks calculated for the objective and subjective criteria on the basis of the best security staff. The proposed heuristic combines interval points re-selection and random points generation methods. Two optimizing algorithms are proposed. It is shown how this method is applied for solving specific task of elite selection from security personnel.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
