OBJECTIVES: To describe the cutaneous manifestations presented by a patient with pediatric multisystemic inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) temporarily associated with SARS-CoV-2. METHODS: Female patient, 10 years old, presenting arthralgia in the wrists and ankles, edema in hands and feet, persistent fever, appearance of diffuse, and itchy maculopapular rash associated with odynophagia and productive cough. Evolution of the rash to violaceous lesions on the face, trunk and limbs (upper and lower), in addition to the appearance of vesicles on the face, within 48 hours. CBC suggestive of an infectious condition, with CRP 307mg/L (insert reference value) and ESR 61mm. RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 positive. RESULTS: Diagnosis of pediatric multisystemic inflammatory syndrome temporarily associated with SARS-CoV2. Transferred to ICU for monitoring and intravenous human immunoglobulin initiated. Good evolution, with the disappearance of injuries and discharge with outpatient follow-up. CONCLUSION: MIS-C has several dermatological manifestations and pediatricians must be attentive to the diagnosis, not limited to a specific presentation. In this case report, the importance of referral to tertiary referral centers for better case management and timely recognition of the syndrome in these patients is emphasized.
The study aims to analyse the cutaneous manifestations described in the literature so far, in children and adolescents, related to COVID-19. An integrative review was carried out using the descriptors and combinations in the English language: skin abnormalities, coronavirus infection, child, and adolescent. The inclusion criteria were articles that related skin manifestations in children and adolescents with COVID-19. The analysis and synthesis of the data obtained in a descriptive manner, characterizing the cutaneous manifestations analyzed. The study ended with 5 articles and it was observed that patients in the pediatric age group with COVID-19 may present diverse skin lesions as a single manifestation or accompanied by mild symptoms, and that these may be similar to those of other diseases common in childhood and adolescence.
Objetivo: Através da busca bibliográfica sobre a obesidade infantil através de políticas escolares para uma alimentação saudável e de saúde. Revisão bibliográfica: É notório que a obesidade infantil tem se tornado um problema cada vez mais grave no Brasil, já que após os anos 80 o acesso a alimentos pouco saudáveis aumentou com o fortalecimento do poder de compra do brasileiro. Com isso, a disparada de doenças que são causadas ou agravadas pela obesidade, tiveram uma alta sem precedentes e geraram preocupações aos profissionais da nutrição entre outros profissionais da saúde. A busca por soluções bate as portas das escolas, local destinado a promover o conhecimento científico e básico, e que pode se tornar uma forte aliada da luta para prevenir doenças futuras através de instruções sobre alimentações saudáveis e equilibradas. Considerações finais: Compreende-se, portanto, que a promoção de saúde alimentar nas escolas através da instrução, é a melhor saída para garantir resultados positivos através da junção de saúde e educação no combate a obesidade infantil e as doenças causadas por ela.
Objetivo: Investigar a segurança do paciente no pronto atendimento de Marataízes-ES e determinar se existe variância de acordo com a cultura de segurança existente, a espera e os resultados das variáveis de eficiência e qualidade. Metodologia: Utilizou-se questionário elaborado com base nas premissas dos protocolos da ANVISA sobre cultura de segurança do paciente, para investigar as premissas básicas que envolvem a segurança do paciente como higiene das mãos, identificação do paciente e segurança na prescrição, uso e administração de medicamentos. Foi aplicado aos 16 enfermeiros e 27 técnicos de enfermagem que trabalham neste local. Discussão: A principal constatação foi que a equipe, apesar do conhecimento sobre suas atribuições e atuação dentro do pronto atendimento quanto à segurança do paciente, ainda pode ter suas ações reformuladas para melhorar o quadro de eficiência e qualidade. Conclusão: Há uma preocupação da gerência/coordenação da UPA em relação à manutenção de uma cultura de segurança e qualidade, principalmente em relação ao tempo de espera do paciente, usando a classificação de riscos e uma equipe técnica bem estruturada para priorização dos atendimentos de Urgência e Emergência.
The present work is the result of a research referring to "Mental Health Analysis of Professionals working in the Front Line to Combat COVID-19 in an Emergency Care Unit of Marataízes -ES", because we experiencing a great pandemic With the new Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), whose disease is called COVID-19, which is highly contagious, being considered one of the great health challenges on the global scale. ItIt was carried out in an emergency care unit in the city of Marataízes-ES" with the objective of measuring the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of Emergency Health Care Professionals (UPA) in the municipality of Marataízes -ES. The subjects of the research were 45 (forty-five) employees. It was a qualitative research, through bibliographic studies with field research. The results revealed that it is necessary that the health of these professionals needs attention, and should be associated with their physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. The Final Product elaborated was a booklet aimed at promoting the quality of life and mental health of health professionals in order to contribute to awareness and awareness to face the challenges, in view of the scenario of the pandemic of COVID -19.
