(Abstracted from Eur J Obstet Gynecol 2023;281:23–28The most frequently diagnosed benign pathology in the female population, uterine fibromatosis, is also a ubiquitous issue of health. Causing anemia, infertility, sexual intercourse pain, recurrent abortions, uterine bleeding, and pelvic pain, this pathology extends significant repercussions on not only women, but also their work activities and families. Treatments proven over time to be effective, such as gonadotropin hormone-releasing hormone antagonists, ulipristal acetate, or gonadotropin hormone-releasing hormone analogues, also give adverse effects in the process of failing to eliminate the pathology. In addition, these treatments cannot be used by patients attempting pregnancy.
