of the Brejo Paraibano microregion in Northeastern Brazil were selected, classified as Umbric Red Yellow Dystrophic Argisol (A1) and Typical Dystrophic Red Latosol (A2), both with clayey texture. The synergistic effect between clay minerals and TiO2 in the Oxisol led to the lowest residual percentage of hexazinone, when compared to the Argisol. However, OM and clay minerals naturally present in soils influenced the photocatalytic behavior in hexazinone degradation, with a pronounced effect of 2% TiO2.
