A lot of methods exist for the diagnostics of synchronous generators and diesel engine installations. One of these methods is the diagnostics with the help of currents and voltages spectrum analysis. The spectral composition of the output currents and voltages is influenced by technical condition of the synchronous generator -wear of bearing units, shortcircuit of some turns of windings, etc. Such approach to the monitoring of the electro-mechanical "diesel-generator" system gives an opportunity to discover faults in the primary motordiesel, non-uniformity of the operating process in its cylinders, and in the synchronous generator itself. This method of technical diagnostics does not require a deep interference into the diesel system and generator scheme, and can be applied without breaking of the operation of the installation. Mathematical modelling of the diesel-generator system was realised with the help of special software. The software realises the mathematical modelling of diesel engine, generator and provides the dynamic balance of the system. A ship diesel-generator has been taken for the experimental investigations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
