In last decades, tourism development in Moldova has improved in terms of tourist flows, both as a diversification of tourism demand and tourism products. These improvements give grounds for an optimistic prognosis for the tourist industry in Moldova. Regarding this, authors revisits the phenomenon of cultural tourism in the country, in order to identify cultural tourism potential through cultural consumption among tourists, applying a special tourism survey. At the same time, there are a number of factors which may endanger sustainable development of tourism in Moldova, this is due primary by a imperfect cultural management that risks to endanger cultural heritage from the country. Another critical limitation on the development of cultural tourism is the low involvement of the population in cultural and tourist events held in the country. The study concludes that current situation calls for a more flexible and innovative approach to tourism industry development in the country.
Actuality of the research resides in the application for the first time in the Republic of Moldova of the program and performance based budgeting (PPBB) at the local level. The aim of the article is to evaluate PPBB and its influence on the responsibility of the local authorities and improving the use of public money. The research methodology is based on the calculations of the correlation reports between different local budget indicators. The results present that the level of financial autonomy depends on the financial possibilities of the administrative-territorial entities. Thus, there is required to supplement the revenues by detecting domestic reserves and their use by the local administration.
During the period 2010-2013, Republic of Moldova launched a number of initiatives to develop the trade policy in order to ensure a more facilitating legal framework for the implementation of economic and trade relations with the key external partners. An agreement on the creation of a free trade area in the CIS was signed in this period. Similarly, Republic of Moldova started negotiating the Association Agreement with the European Union, which was signed in June this year and is part of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). This article aims to assess the main effects of signing the Association Agreement for the Moldovan agricultural sector, while examining its reaction, if Moldova would have opted for integration within the Customs Union-Russian Federation, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
