The article examines the general course of federal policy in the Russian Federation with regard to the development of the car market in the electric vehicle segment. Government policy should aim to reduce the percentage of vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE). As of early 2022, projects for the production of electric cars and electric motors are being developed in the Russian Federation and are in the implementation stage. The raw material base in the Russian Federation makes it possible to produce electric vehicles and their components without exporting raw materials. The increase in mineral production is necessary to boost the rate of production of high-tech and innovative products for various industry segments. Trends in the global energy transition are reflected not only in the dynamics of the oil and gas market but also in the development of related industries. They influence the demand for different types of metals and minerals. It is well known that clean technologies require much more metals than their fossil fuel based counterparts. Rare earth metals have now become an integral part of green technology as they are widely used in wind turbine generators, engines for electric vehicles.
The problem of environmental pollution from passenger transport is one of the endless problems of our time. The present study identifies 5 groups of passenger transport polluting the environment: road, rail, air, sea and river transport. This study has identified the current amount of pollution caused by the operation of passenger transport. The issue of financing, which ensures the renovation of passenger transport systems to make them more environmentally friendly, was identified as a problematic aspect. As a consequence, a comparative analysis of prospective solutions to improve passenger transport has been carried out. Thus, the methods used revealed that switching to biofuel and introducing electric energy into passenger transport mechanisms would minimise emissions into the environment, which is the aim of this study - to identify the most promising innovations in public passenger transport designed to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The article deals with current problems and prospects of development of urban unmanned transport. The rapid development of autonomous transport, artificial intelligence, and other information technologies makes it possible to introduce unmanned vehicles in urban public transport systems, primarily buses. The technological factors and obstacles for the development of unmanned public transport systems are summarised. Despite the fact that the capacity of such buses in current use is still small, a maximum of about 15 people, the routes are relatively short, and the use is mainly in test mode, the use of these vehicles, especially in large urban agglomerations, seems undoubtedly promising. The article presents an analysis of the main features and incentives for the development of unmanned public transport, gives a brief overview of pilot systems of autonomous public transport in European cities, considers obstacles to the development of these systems and the experience of development of unmanned public transport in Russia, and formulates assumptions about the future development of this transport segment. The first steps towards full autonomy and widespread use of unmanned urban public transport, however, this path will not be taken quickly.
Over the past 15 years, sea cruising has been one of the most sought after and profitable trips in the tourism industry, but the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 has made a difference. This topic is relevant, as identifying the key areas for sea cruise recovery and how to implement them in the face of a new coronavirus infection is a major prospect for the development of the field. There is a need to understand how the cruise industry can avert a large-scale crisis and over what period of time this can happen. This article has identified the main reasons for the collapse of the sea cruise industry in the face of a new coronavirus infection. It also analysed statistics on passenger traffic, cash turnover and financial results of the world’s five largest cruise companies, comparing their main characteristics. The article identified the main precautions that have been taken on cruise ships to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 after the reopening of cruise companies in mid-2021. The prospects for resumption of sea cruises and the negative factors that reduce their attractiveness, based on the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, were also considered.
