Complete segmental airway resection during or even after thyroidectomy could be safely performed, might be curative and may be associated with improved survival.
The results of this study showed that magnesium sulphate administration did not significantly improve the incidence of arrhythmias in hypo- and normo-magnesium patients after CABG. There was no significant correlation between post-operative serum levels of magnesium and arrhythmia during 3 days.
Patients with hemophilia because of limited lifespan rarely undergo cardiac surgery. Due to improved healthcare and management in these patients, the life expectancy is increasing. Nevertheless, surgical intervention is a new challenge in patients with hemophilia, particularly very old patients. We describe an old patient with hemophilia A, who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting.
