The port process and computerization assessments completed for the ports of northern Adriatic, have shown the global importance of computerizing the processes implemented in the maritime-port-logistics cluster, and the absolute need to improve the level of automation in relationships between port operators and in the management of the document flows involved in these relationships. The assessments have shown what benefits could be within the port and over extended communications and data exchange network between the other ports from the implementation of an e-Platform for electronic data interchange capable of establishing communications between the various port computer systems in order to achieve coordination and integration and to promote the concept of "Single Window" with the aim of reducing transaction costs and operation turnaround time.In this paper is given the idea of implementing of e-Platform in the biggest Albanian port of Durres interconnecting the port information systems dedicated to the management of logistic processes and the benefits of it such as development of an accurate and upto-date port organization, port infrastructure and processes analysis among the ports of northern Adriatic and development of a joint market. The implementation of an e-Platform, which is the main objective of the ITS Adriatic multi-port gateway project, represents the ideal way to satisfy the needs for data interchange, communication and integration between the systems identified in the various assessments and for Albanian ports.
The technology of photovoltaic (PV) systems is improving continuously in relation to their cost and performance, so their use is increased considerablyPV systems today are quite reliable in the different applications. The use of PV's as the electrical power source for a residence has reducing the need for electricity. Refrigerators, air conditioners, electric water heaters, electric ranges, electric dryers, and washing machines are all large users of electricity [7]. Alternative sources of energy are available to greatly reduce the use of electrical energy. In this paper, we are focused on the concept of installation solar photovoltaic (PV) system that generally requires engineering services for each individual application. There is relevant information regarded to PV systems stand-alone (off -grid) or grid connected (on -grid) ones. On the other hand there are a lot of guidelines on the subject of the design process of a PV system such as: the calculation of the electrical load, the size of the PV System, PV subsystems -inverters, controllers, wiring, mounting PV panels, batteries, types of photovoltaic cells [1]. The purpose of this paper is to show how PV panels can be used on the environments of a public institution in Albania conditions, in particular in one of the Albanian University (UET). The results of the study will be based on accurate calculation of installed solar panels and initial cost of their installation. Furthermore, in this paper it will also discuss the main advantages and disadvantages of implementing of this contemporary technology in our country.
World Wide Web has become a global driver in the information sharing from the users. Internet has changed a lot during its lifetime. The change is continuing with the rise of new technologies as well. The low cost wireless connections are making the information sharing even more persistent. Data collection has become more advanced with embedded devices connected with each other and RIFD technology used to transmit data in a continuous way. Exactly these technologies has led to the “Internet of Things” that is a way to display web as a medium of connected devices through the world and to communicate with each other. IoT has also faced a lot of challenges, especially when it comes to Enterprise IoT. Techniques for implementing IoT need to be developed especially in developing countries. The challenges and threats of the IoT are described in this paper. An initial security evaluation is also shown.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
