Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the lifelong learning trends of physical education and sports teachers with regard to various variables and to compare them with the literature. Method: 113 physical education teachers working in secondary schools and high schools in Tokat province and its districts during the 2019-2020 academic year participated in the study. In order to obtain the research data, the “Lifelong Learning Scale” adapted to Turkish by Engin, Kör and Erbay (2016) and the demographic information questionnaire created by the researchers were used. This research is a descriptive study in scanning model. The research data were subjected to normality test and the research data were analyzed according to the results. In the analysis of the data, 0.05 significance level was taken as the criterion. In order to determine the level of lifelong learning competence of physical education and sports teachers, the variables with 2 level were analyzed by using t test statistics, and the variables with 3 or more levels were analyzed by the ANOVA F test statistic. Conclusion: According to the results of this study which was conducted on different variables, physical education teachers’ lifelong learning tendency scores are high. At the same time; gender, professional seniority and and the lvel of the institution (primary school, high school etc.) are not effective factors on lifelong learning motivations og physical education and sports teachers.
Bu çalışmada Bhavsar vd., (2020) tarafından geliştirilen, Sporda Psikolojik İhtiyaçlar Durum Ölçeğinin (SPİDÖ) Türkçeye uyarlanması amaçlanmıştır. Toplam 29 soru 6 alt boyuttan oluşan ölçeğin öncelikle madde analizi olarak, madde-toplam korelasyonu hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca SPİDÖ maddelerinin, madde ayırt ediciliğinin belirlenebilmesi için her bir alt boyuta ait ölçek puanları çoktan aza doğru sıralanıp, üstten %27'ye girenler üst grup, alttan %27'ye girenler alt grup olarak ayrılmıştır. Sonrasında maddelerin alt grup ile üst grup arasında farklılık gösterme durumu t testi ile incelenmiştir. SPİDÖ'nün altı boyutlu yapısının veriye uyumunu incelemek amacıyla ölçme aracının, ölçülen yapıya ilişkin faktör yapısı belli olduğundan ölçeğin orijinal formuna uygun olarak doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) yapılmıştır. Çok değişkenli normal dağılım varsayımı olmadığından, sağlam maksimum olabilirlik kestirimi (Robust Maximum Likelihood Estimation-RMLE) kullanılmıştır. SPİDÖ puanlarının güvenirliğini belirlemek amacıyla Cronbach alfa katsayısından yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan DFA sonucunda SPİDÖ ölçeğinden madde 10'un çıkarılarak, yani 28 madde olarak, Türkçe' ye uyarlanıp kullanılabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of self-talk on motivation and performance of individuals by different variants. The sample of the research consisted of 233 athletes in total, 113 are women and 120 are men living in 30 different provinces in Turkey and interested in different branches in 2020. The 'self-talk scale', developed by Brinthaupt, Hein and Kramer ( 2009) and adopted to Turkish by Akın et al. (2010) which aims to assess the emotional, behavioral and cognitive aspects of the self-talk, was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained in the study were analyzed by using the IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 15.0 program. Number, percentage and frequency were used as descriptive statistical methods in the evaluation of data. According to the obtained data, significant differences between the age variant and 'self-criticism' which is the sub-dimension of self-talk scale, between 'social assessment' and 'self-criticism' which are the sub-dimensions of gender and self-talk scale, and between the level of doing sports and the sub-dimension of self-criticism" have been gained.
This research was conducted to determine the level of athletes' trait sportive confidence and to compare them in terms of demographic variances. In the research which is in the model descriptive survey, Trait Sportive Self Confidence Scale developed by Vealey (1986) was used as data collection tool. Based on typical sampling method of purposive sampling methods, this research sample is consisted of 279 athletes playing in Ptofessional Football League and female-male Volleyball League in Turkey in 2017-2018 season. In the evaluation of the research data, the assumptions of the tests were examined primarily; for unrelated measurements, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA) and Kruskal Wallis test. As a result of the research it was determinated that the trait sportive self-confidences of the athlethes were at a high level. When the findings of the study were evaluated in terms of demographic variables, it was determined that there was a significant difference according to the age or the status of the league played.
