One effort that teachers can do to improve their learning process is by developing learning resources for themselves and their students. Teachers can use student workbook (LKS) to be used as a source of learning for students. A student workbook that contains material summaries can help students more effectively understand the materials. Student workbook containing a variety of practice questions is believed to affect the effectiveness of student’s learning. This research aims to analyze the effects of using student workbook (LKS) towards the effectiveness of students’ learning. This research was conducted to see students' perceptions of the role of using student workbook (LKS) towards the effectiveness of student learning. To collect data, this study used a questionnaire distributed to 24 students using a survey administration application, consisting of six questions related to the students' perceptions of the role of using student workbook (LKS) towards student’s learning process. After all, participants had completed the questionnaire, the data were then categorized based on relevant findings. The findings reveal that the use of student workbook gives beneficial impact on students’ learning since it can be one of the sources of learning besides the teacher’s explanation. It also makes students easier in understanding the materials with simple content and various practices. In the end, this research hopefully can be useful as a reference or guide for future researchers who want to conduct similar research on the use of student workbook (LKS) as one of the resources in the teaching process.
During covid-19 pandemic, teachers need to change the activity from a face-to-face into distance learning activity. There may many methods and media used by the teacher, one of them is video. One of the aims is to assist teachers in explaining the material and attracting students' interest. Hence, this study aims to find out the benefits of the use video in teaching and learning activity in pandemic situation. In this study, the researchers investigated what the benefit of the use of video for English learning as perceived by students in Covid-19 pandemic situation. the researchers used qualitative method in this research. The instruments used in this study are questionnaire and interview. The researchers took the data from two classes, which were XI KI I and XI KI III of SMK SMTI Bandarlampung.The research findings shows that students had positive experience when using video as medium in teaching and learning English as a foreign language. Moreover, most of the students agreed that video gives the advantages to the students, such as the increasing of motivation in learning, acquiring new vocabularies, and improving the pronunciation of Englsih words. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, online learning or LFF is implemented. LFH shifted formal education practice from the classroom (on-site) learning to online learning. All subjects in schools are conducted online, including English subjects. One of the software applications that can assist in English teaching and learning online was Learning Management Systems. One LMS that can be used as a learning platform is Moodle. The friendly tools that Moodle offers help students to adapt quickly to this platform. However, with this sudden shifting between offline to online environments, the students need to adjust without maximum preparation. Therefore, in implementing Moodle, the teachers should know students' readiness and perception of using Moodle as an English learning media. In this research, the researchers apply survey research that explores students' readiness and perceptions towards the use of Moodle in learning English during the pandemic Covid-19. The instrument uses the questionnaire, and the participants are 100 students of SMK Yadika Bandarlampung. The result of this research shows that students of SMK Yadika Bandarlampung are ready to implement Moodle as their English learning media. They also had a positive perception toward Moodle during their time using Moodle. However, the students still face some problems such as connection and internet data, which often becomes a barrier for them in following Moodle activities.
