Summary
In this paper, a modified H‐bridge 5‐level inverter has been proposed. The inverter has the lower number of switches than the similar structures, and this feature causes low implementation cost. A passive LC filter is designed to decrease the THDV, and simulation results prove that THDV value has been decreased, significantly. As well, high switching frequency versus low power dissipation is another important feature of the proposed inverter. The results verification of the proposed system for a 9‐kVA prototype is demonstrated successfully using MATLAB/Simulink. Also, a 3‐kVA prototype is built to verify the validity of simulation results of the proposed inverter.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
