Abstract: Abstract: Descriptive statistics are statistics used to analyze data in ways that describe or depict the data that has been collected as it is without intending to generally accepted conclusions or generalizations. Therefore, in order to ensure the validity of results from data obtained three stages required therein or better known as the basic foundation that is; The first variation where statistics works with changing circumstances. The second reduction means that not all of the information that must be processed. Not all people have studied (population), but simply with less samples are representative only. Thirdly, the generalization is to draw general conclusions that apply to members of the population based on representative samples. Through these stages at least, researchers will be able to produce comprehensive data and findings can be justified scientifically. It is therefore essential for researchers to use statistical methods descriptive qualitative research, as a form of research on social phenomena that tend to be captured. Through the ability if a database owned by qualitative descriptive method, it is helpful in making the observations in the form of measures in the form of numbers.
The family is the smallest unit in society that is formed due to the marriage ties between men and women. The development of children in the family is influenced by the condition of the family situation and the experiences of the parents. Whereas the moderating role of religious commitment was tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Main Findings: The conclusion from this study is that the commitment factor in practicing Islamic religion from within the family moderates the relationship between personality and Islamic psychology towards Muslim consumer behavior, meanwhile The Islamic cultural factors and social environmental factors are not moderated by family commitment in practicing the Islamic Religion. Background of this study is a tendency of quantitative approach which is rarely encountered during student’s thesis of Dakwah Faculty IAIN Purwokerto. This is partly due to the usage of statistical techniques as the analysis tools. This study is a survey research, conducted in random sampling techniques with 38 respondents. The data is collected by using observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation techniques. The data is analyzed and calculate using Pearson’s Product Moment correlation procedures in Microsoft Excell and SPSS. Conclusion of the study is that “There is no correlation between the perception of statistical techniques and interest in using quantitative research towards student of Dakwah Faculty IAIN Purwokerto”, with the result of rxy, 0,247, as interpreted as a low correlation. The result is then consulted with Product Moment’s r table and it shows that the value of rxy is less than on the r table, both in 5% and 1 % significance level. There are lots of them have perceptions that statistical procedures are difficult and so they have less interest in conducting final thesis using quantitative methodology, with the reason that the research problem is not suitable with the quantitative methods. They have hope of assistance from lecturer or possibility in using SPSS techniques.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
