This article aims to look at the construction of Islamic education from the perspective of Seyyed Hossein Nasr. Nasr is an Islamic thinker whose capabilities are not in doubt in the study of Islamic philosophy, science, and ethics. The research approach used in this article is a literature review. Research problems are studied and analysed through the literature comprehensively. The results of this study include 1) Seyyed Hossein Nasr's conception of Islamic education which emphasizes human efforts to carry out their duties and obligations as caliphs on earth and servants of Allah; 2) the role of humans as caliphs and servants of Allah can only be obtained with the integrity of the building of science; 3) education construction is carried out through the Islamization of science (science) with a philosophical reformulation of Islamic education in the ontological, epistemological, and axiological domains 4) Islamic education reconstruction is directed at reviewing and rearranging educational goals, characteristics of Islamic educators, characteristics of Islamic students, educational tools, and educational environment.
Islam tidak bisa dipisahkan dari politik meskipun Islam bukan agama politik. Di Indonesia pertautan antara Islam dan Negara (umat Islam dan kekuasaan) meninggalkan sejarah panjang yang amat melelahkan. Tulisan ini memperlihatkan bahwa kebijakan politik era penjajahan khususnya zaman Belanda sangat diskriminatif dan menyudutkan pendidikan Islam. Pada Orde Lama meskipun dianggap langkah awal bagi perkembangan pendidikan Islam, namun kebijakan pemerintah Orde Lama masih terlihat setengah hati dan kurang menguntungkan pendidikan Islam baik secara kelembagaan maupun kurikulum (mata pelajaran). Hal ini secara tidak langsung merupakan dampak dari hubungan politik umat Islam dan negara (kekuasaan) yang sinis, antagonis dan non kompromi. Tulisan ini menunjukan bahwa pada zaman Orde Baru lah momentum positif bagi eksistensi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Kebijakan-kebijakan Pemerintah Orde Baru menjadi babak baru kebangkitan pendidikan Islam di pentas nasional, lahirnya SKB 3 Menteri menjadi awal terintegrasinya pendidikan Islam di dalam sistem pendidikan nasional sehingga berimplikasi pada terjadinya mobilitas sosial dan vertikal siswa-siswa madrasah dan terbukanya peluang anak-anak santri memasuki wilayah pekerjaan pada sektor modern. Hal ini secara tidak langsung merupakan dampak dari hubungaan umat Islam dan negara (kekuasaan) yang bersifat lentur, romantis, inklusif, dan mau berkompromi dengan kekuasaan (negara).
This study aims to investigate the problem structuring process using creative methods to create well-structured problems, and how it can optimize the expected policy outcomes of human resource development in regional police. This study uses a qualitative research method by integrating qualitative data from semi-structured interviews and administrative data. Five informants were purposively selected, four of whom were authorized officials in the field of human resource development at regional police institutions, and the other was a prominent civic organization activist. The interview data were analysed using qualitative interactive models, while directed content analysis was applied to administrative data. The results of the study show that the problem structuring process in human resource development policies for regional police is limited to identifying the main elements of problem definition through the partial use of brainstorming methods and classification analysis. Such a problem structuring process cannot create well-structured problems that optimize expected policy outcomes of human resource development. However, the use of creative problem-solving methods in a comprehensive manner can optimize the expected policy outcomes from the development of more critical and collaborative human resource development in the regional police force.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the Indonesian economy to slow down to a decline. As a result of this, the household sector economy also stagnated and even a sharp decline in household income due to many layoffs. In overcoming these problems, of course, there are social activities carried out especially to help the affected communities. The method used is through observational studies. The purpose of this study was to find out social activities to empower the poor in increasing humanist values in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results in this study show that one of the programs carried out by UHAMKA students, to form humanist values, UHAMKA students hold empowerment activities for the poor. Keyword: Pandemic, Humanist, Empowerment Abstrak: Pandemic COVID-19 mengakibatkan perekonomian Indonesia melambat hingga mengalami penurunan. Akibat dari hal itu adalah ekonomi sektor rumah tangga pun mengalami stagnasi dan bahkan penurunan tajam dalam pendapatan rumah tangga karena banyak terjadinya pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK). Dalam mengatasi problematika tersebut tentuya adanya kegiatan sosial yang dilakukan terutama untuk membnatu masyarakat yang terkena dampaknya. Metode yang digunakan melalui studi observasi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kegiatan sosial pemberdayaan kaum dhuafa dalam meningkatkan nilai-nilai humanis di era pandemi Covid-19. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan Salah satunya program yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa UHAMKA, untuk membentuk nilai-nilai humanis, mahasiswa UHAMKA mengadakan kegiatan pemberdayaan terhadap kaum dhuafa. The learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is mostly done online, is a challenge for educational institutions in strengthening character values in students, which is an important aspect of educational goals. This research aimed to analyze the implementation of the kemuhammadiyahan subject on empowering poor families during the COVID-19 pandemic in strengthening character values for students. This research was conducted through a qualitative method combining two data collection techniques; review on documents (books and journal articles) and observation of 238 students from 16 departments and 6 faculties who had attended kemuhammadiyahan subject at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka. This research reveals that kemuhammadiyahan subjects using the online learning method combined with field assignments (luring) in the form of empowering poor families have an effect on strengthening student character values. After taking the kemuhammadiyahan subject, students increasingly have a sense and attitude of caring for others (welas asih), sympathy and empathy, social responsibility, gratitude, optimism, generosity, honesty, discipline, patience, citizenship, commitment, compassion, and sincerity. Students also feel that they are increasingly possessing skills such as creative, innovative, communicative and collaborative. This study also shows that kemuhammadiyahan subjects have contributed to helping the poor who were economically affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this kemuhammadiyahan subject model is relevant to the Freedom of Learning-Independence Campus (MBKM) policy which was initiated by the Ministry of Education which requires learning which can be implemented based on humanitarian project programs.
