The background of the study is the low achievement motivation of the studentsin which they are unable to show their potential optimally. Thisstudy aims to increase the students’achievementmotivation throughroleplay. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. The participants of the study were the grade X students ofSMAN 6 Bandung in academic year 2019/2020. The result shows that students’ achievement motivation is increased through role play. Role playtechniqueis able to provide changes in the students’ attitudes which are supported by the results of the assessment conducted on selected students as assessors.
<div class="WordSection1"><p><strong><em>Abstract. </em></strong><em>This article aims to provide insight and knowledge to the academic community that a lesson has three aspects that need to be present in learning Logos, Ethos and Pathos, as well as the curriculum context that needs to be present in learning. In the setting of national seminar activities for the academic community, both education practitioners and students. The activity focuses on implementing BK in the independent campus curriculum. This service is carried out using the lecturing socialization method. As a result of this service, participants from this activity gain knowledge and understanding regarding what Logos, Ethos and Pathos are like and understand the implementation of the independent curriculum in a fun learning strategy setting, active participants in discussions and evaluating the results of the conference activities.</em></p></div><p> </p><p><strong>Abstrak. </strong>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan pada masyarakat akademik bahwa suatu pembelajaran memiliki tiga aspek yang perlu ada dalam pembelajaran Logos, Etos dan Patos serta konteks kurikulum yang perlu ada dalam pembelajaran. Dalam seting kegiatan seminar nasional pada civitas akademika baik praktisi pendidikan, dan mahasiswa. Bahwasanya kegiatan focus pada menyampaikan bagaimana implementasi BK dalam kurikulum kampus merdeka. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode lecturing socialization. Hasil dari pengabdian ini peserta dari kegiatan pengabdian ini mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait seperti apa Logos, Etos dan Patos serta memahami pelaksanaan dari kurikulum merdeka dalam seting strategi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, peserta aktif dalam diskusi dan mengevaluasi hasil dari kegiatan seminar.</p><p> </p>

This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of strength-based counseling in developing students' academic hardiness. The approach used is quantitative with the experimental method, and the design used is one group pretest-posttest control group. The instrument used to obtain data is the Academic Hardiness Scale which has gone through a revision process. The research participants involved eight students with low levels of academic hardiness. The results of the study show that strength-based counseling is effective in increasing student academic hardiness. The results of this study showed that the academic hardiness of students before the implementation of strength-based counseling had an average of 40.5 (SD = 2.88) and after given treatment with strength-based counseling, it increased to 52,625 (SD = 5.07). The results of the paired t-test show that Strength-based Group Counseling is effective in developing student academic hardiness.Keyword: strength-based counseling, academic hardiness, guidance and counselingAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap efektivitas strength-based counseling untuk meningkatkan academic hardiness mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan academic hardiness mahasiswa sebelum diterapkan strength-based counseling memiliki rata-rata sebesar 40.5 (SD = 2.88) dan setelah diberikan perlakuan denga strength-based counseling meningkat menjadi sebesar 52.625 (SD = 5.07).
