In this article we derive that six-port receivers require analog rectified wave suppression in order to be applicable within mobile communications. The interrelationship of circuit matching, dynamic range of the ADCs and the so-called RF-self-mixing product are deduced analytically. We present a receiver architecture with immanent RF-self-mixing product suppression. The results enable the prediction of the applicability of a sixport with a certain circuit technology for a defined standard.
