The study aims to determine the effect of the application of solid organic fertilizers from bokashi goat manure (BGM) and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) of cow urine to improve the growth and yield of ’lembah palu’ shallot varieties. The study was conducted on farmers’ land in Sidera Village Subdistrict Sigibiromaru Sigi Regency in Central Sulawesi. Research using Random Complete Block Design (RCBD) in factorials design (two-factor) with three replications. The first factor is the application of BGM, consists of 2 levels, namely: (1) without BGM and (2) BGM 30 t ha-1; The second factor is the concentration of LOF consists of 3 levels: (1) without the LOF, (2) LOF 16 L ha-1 and (3) LOF 32 L ha-1. The results of the research showed that BGM 30 t.ha-1, followed by application of 16 L.ha-1 LOF produce shallot crop is higher, and the number of tuber per hill and the fresh weight of tuber per hectare of shallot ’lembah palu’ variety is higher compared with a combination of other treatments. BGM 30 t.ha-1 produced more leaf number and fresh weight of tubers per plant higher and significantly different without BGM. Application LOF 32 L.ha-1 produce of shallot leaves more than without LOF and LOF 16 L.ha-1.
The production of the local coffee plantation contributes significantly to the national coffee production. The effort in providing production inputs and plantation maintenance has been performed but the optimum productivity has not been achieved yet. The productivity of robusta coffee plantation that depends on the rainwater harvesting can be affected by microenvironment climate changes such as the temperature increase and the rainfall intensity. This research was conducted in the Kurrak Village, Tapango District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The research sample was the robusta coffee farmers who cultivate the young coffee plants. The research method used was a descriptive quantitative study using multiple linear regression for data analysis. The regression results show that temperature and precipitation significantly affected the productivity of Robusta coffee in the Kurrak Village, Tapango District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The impact of climate change affects the growth of robusta coffee and the shift of the cultivation activity time. Keywords: Productivity, Robusta Coffee, Climate Change ABSTRAK Produksi perkebunan kopi rakyat berkontribusi besar bagi produksi kopi nasional.
Kurrak Village Tapango District Polewali Mandar Regency has topography that met the criteria of the environmental requirements for growing Arabica and Robusta Coffee. Efforts to develop coffee commodities in Kurrak Village confronted by various problems, so that it requires the role and support of various institutions, both government, educational institutions and private institutions. Problems with coffee development range from the on-farm sector to the off-farm sector. The problems faced by farmers were the low knowledge of farmers in the technical application of good coffee cultivation and the low level of knowledge of farmer families in managing farming finances thus resulting in lack of farming capital of the farmers. This community empowerment through the Hadji Kalla Foundation's CSR program aimed to provide improvements to the on-farm sector in increasing farmer capacity, changing mindsets and increasing farming managerial capabilities. Empowerment methods used were counseling and mentoring. The results achieved were that farming families in Kurrak Village had sufficient capacity to apply Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) to coffee cultivation techniques and had knowledge of financial management in plantation farming, especially coffee plants.
