CubeSat communication links require small size, low power, and low cost transceivers. Link parameters resulting from the satellite's Low Earth Orbit (LEO) can impair transceiver performance, degrading mission data throughput. This paper describes the characteristics and control of a new CubeSat transceiver. The new transceiver provides an estimated 300% increase in data throughput for a typical 45-degree maximum elevation angle LEO pass over the Aerocube-2 transceiver. 12
The Aerospace Corporation (Aer program has designed a 10 Watt, inverse Nitride (GaN) power amplifier currently ins in CubeSat mobile ground stations. At 915 compression, the amplifier has 17.0 dB of output power, and 83.4% Power Added E This amplifier was designed in Advanced Des with a vendor transistor model and optimi line matching networks.A miniaturized version is currently being designed for im future CubeSats. Such an amplifier will power savings and improved link margin f very tight size, weight, and power (SWaP) res
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
