The task of the planning phase prior to travelling is always undervalued as an effort that takes time to create and manage. Finding locations that are good to visit is hard as people do not always know whether what they are reading is true or whether it is forged to give the impression that it is good when it is actually not. Research regarding the process of searching for information about locations does not receive considerate attention from researchers, resulting in limited studies about the topic in the literature. Therefore, this study aimed at bridging the gap by designing and developing a web app (application) for sharing information of interesting locations. The evolutionary prototyping methodology was adopted in designing and developing the prototype. The prototype named Collaborative Information Sharing System (CISS) was developed based on the gathered requirements. The results of the evaluation suggested that CISS is indeed useful and easy to use. The study contributes towards the understanding of the system requirements and user interface of a web application for sharing information of interesting locations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
