With this volume the author Angela Geißler dares to take a new look into the field of domestic violence. She wants to motivate people to embrace the phenomenon of domestic violence in its entirety and to free themselves from one-sided polarisations. To this end she makes visible current deficiencies which prevent female violence from being perceived and taken seriously. On the basis of guideline-supported interviews with experts, impulses for a de-tabooing of the problem and a holistic fight against domestic violence are discussed. Finally, approaches for social work, politics and science are formulated.
