<p>Banten Province is characterized by local potentials of buffalo farming, e.g. breeding, rearing and fattening. It is promising to develop traditional buffalo farming into commercial one. This paper theoretically describes existing buffalo farming in Banten Province and how to develop it. Buffalo farming in Banten Province is relatively traditional, i.e. secondary business, livestock mainly for savings, small scales, inefficient production cost, and less profitable. Supporting facilities needed for improving the buffalo farming from traditional to commercial business are mutual cooperation among members in the farmers’ group, upgrading farmers’ knowledge on cow breeding, feed, farm business, applied technology, and natural resource use. The farmers require guidance and supervision, financial support, feed and calves assistance, and water supply for the livestock all year around. The government needs to set policy on marketing, e.g. selling price and requirements of bodyweight and health of the livestock. Eventually, the buffalo farmers in this province will be encouraged to conduct more profitable buffalo farming.</p><p> </p><p>Abstrak</p><p>Provinsi Banten memiliki potensi yang cukup banyak untuk pengembangan ternak kerbau, pembibitan, serta pembesaran dan penggemukan dari tradisional menjadi komersial. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara teoritis mengenai potensi kerbau di Provinsi Banten dan pengembangannya. Peternak kerbau di Banten dicirikan dengan usaha sampingan, beternak untuk tabungan, skala pemilikan kecil, biaya produksi tinggi, dan kurang menguntungkan. Faktor pendukung untuk mengarahkan usaha ternak tradisional menjadi komersial adalah penguatan pengetahuan dan kinerja SDM peternak dalam hal kelembagaan, kerja sama antaranggota kelompok, peningkatan pengetahuan terkait bibit, pakan dan bisnis, serta teknologi terapan dan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan SDA sekitarnya. Untuk kemajuan usaha komersial dibutuhkan pendampingan, dana, bibit ternak, pakan dan air minum untuk ternak sepanjang tahun. Kebijakan pemasaran seperti harga jual ternak bibit dan daging perlu dibuat agar ternak yang masuk dari luar provinsi memenuhi persyaratan ukuran tubuh, bobot, dan kesehatan supaya peternak lokal terpacu untuk menghasilkan ternak yang lebih baik dengan harga jual yang lebih menguntungkan.</p>

Adolescent is a transitional  period from childhood to the adulthood in which the adolescents  have a high curiosity to know and to understand the changings occurred to themselves. The adolescents need intense information on sexuality, additionally mother’s have on essential role to educate them. This research aimed to determine the relationship between mother’s knowledge on health reproductive  and attitude in sexual education for adolescents. This research was conducted on Mey-June 2016. The method used was descriptive method with correlational study. The population was mothers who have adolescents aged 10-19 years. The sample was conducted by simple random sampling about 124 mothers. The prerequisite test showed that the data was normal and homogenous. The first hypothesis test was using linear regression and simple correlation. Regression model obtained wasŶ= 69,821+0,150X it was significant and linear relationship. The coefficient of correlation obtained was 0.174, which meaning that  there was a positive-significant correlation between mother’s knowledge on health reproductive and attitude towards sex education. The coefficient of determination obtained was 0.03 which meaning that mother’s knowledge on health reproduction contributed about 3% to the attitude towards sex education.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan sebuah instrumen kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa Madrasah Aliyah yang valid dan reliabel. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian pengembangan (Research & Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D Thiagarajan dengan tahapan define, design, development, dan dissemination. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif berupa komentar atau saran perbaikan dari expert , dan data kuantitatif berupa skor yang diperoleh siswa pada saat uji coba instrumen tes ini. Uji coba penelitianya dilakukan kepada 60 siswa kelas 10 MAN 12 Jakarta untuk mengetahui validitas, reliabilitas dan tingkat kesukaran instrumen. Analisis hasil uji coba dilakukan dengan pendekatan model Rasch dibantu oleh software Winsteps. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 butir soal uraian valid, reliabel, dan tingkat kesukaran yang baik. Uji validitas menggunakan tabel item dimensionality dan tabel item fit order dimana Undimensionality berdasarkan nilai raw variance by measure dan kesesuaian butir soal sesuai salah satu kriteria, yakni 0,50 < MNSQ < 1,5; -2,0 < ZSTD < +2,0 dan 0,4 < Pt Mean Car < 0,85. Uji reliabilitasnya berdasarkan tabel summary statistic pada nilai person dan item reliability sebesar 0,73 dan 0,76 yang berkriteria cukup dan nilai alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,92 yang berkriteria bagus sekali. Lalu tingkat kesukaran instrumen terbagi tiga tingkatan, yaitu sulit, sedang dan mudah dengan menggunakan tabel item measure. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka instrumen tes ini layak digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa Madrasah Aliyah. This study aims to reveal the protagonist’s motivation in Rachael Lippincott et. al.’s novel Five Feet Apart. This study adopts qualitative method to acquire and describe the data about the protagonist’s motivations in the novel. The discussion is divided into two sub topics concerned to the aspects of the analysis. There are two aspects of the protagonist’s motivation described in the novel. The first aspect is focused on recovery and familly’s happiness. Then, the second is about the factors which arouse the motivation. It is found in the study that the protagonist’s motivation and the factors to arouse the motivation lead to the protagonist’s success to recover and return to live with her family together.
